Position Overview

International is hiring an onsite Contract Recruiter (3–6 months, potential extension) to support high-volume hiring at our fast-paced engine manufacturing plant in Huntsville.

In this role, you’ll lead recruiting efforts for hourly production and skilled trades positions that are critical to keeping operations running.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for high-volume roles
  • Partner directly with plant leadership and human resources to meet hiring goals and production timelines
  • Source candidates through job boards, referrals, local schools, and community outreach
  • Conduct phone screens and coordinate onsite interviews
  • Support hiring events, walk-in interviews, and rapid hiring initiatives
  • Manage offers, pre-employment steps, and start date coordination
  • Track candidates and activity in the ATS (iCIMS)
  • Maintain a strong, ready-to-hire candidate pipeline


Additional Requirements

Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)


Desired Skills

  • High-volume recruiting experience in a manufacturing facility
  • Experience hiring for hourly and/or skilled trades roles
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet aggressive hiring timelines
  • Comfortable working onsite and partnering with plant teams
  • Experience with an iCIMS is a plus
  • Experience recruiting CNC machinists is a plus
